HS2 Hybrid Bill Vote

The HS2 Hybrid Bill vote is tomorrow evening (Monday), so is vital that everyone opposed to HS2 helps to maintain the pressure on MPs.

Please contact your MP and ask them to vote against HS2

If you oppose HS2, it’s really important that you get in touch with your MP before the vote (expected at around 10pm) and tell them that you want them to vote against HS2.

This is especially important if they are off-route or a minister with a constituency on the route.

The easiest way of emailing your MP is the tool at http://www.highspeedrail.org.uk/. This will suggest a wording for you, with some of the many different reasons why HS2 is a bad project for the country. Alternatively use http://tinyurl.com/VoteAgainstHS2.

 

Please come to Parliament and make your objections known

If you are in London on Monday, please come to Parliament and let your MP know in person what you think about HS2.

You are entitled to go to Central Lobby in the House of Commons and ask to see your MP: this is a very powerful way of letting them know how strongly you oppose HS2.  The HS2 vote is expected around 10pm, so you can have an effect even quite late on.

In addition Stop HS2 are holding a demo at Parliament on Monday.
